History
This story start with a white dragon by the name of Xarzith'ithquent (Translates into common as Ice god, also allows his kobolds to call him Master Xarzith), who lived in the snowy mountain range of a distant land. The great white was infamous for his arrogance and was said to only tolerate those with draconic blood running through their veins, this lead to him acquiring a tribe of kobolds as his slaves. Even though these kobolds were inferior as far as their draconic heritage, they were still better than those without the blood of his kind in Xarzith's mind. His kobolds always raided the nearby villages and the caravans that occasionally came through the area, it was on one such occasion that proved to be the start of something special.
The kobolds caught wind of a caravan while they were out raiding and ransacked it, though what they found inside was not what they expected. Instead of food and supplies, the caravan contianed refugees from a place far away. As they began killing the people, one small halfling woman ran away with a small bundle in her arm. Believing it to be supplies, the kobolds gave chase and eventually killed her. The took their spoils from the village and caravan raid as well as the small bundle and went home to present the things to their master. As one of the kobolds dropped the small bundle it began to cry, they wrapped it to find a small halfling baby wrapped up. Xarzith became fascinated with the baby and decided to raise it as his own, as his own child was killed in the event that caused him to move location to avoid dying himself.
Though she was an adorable child with a natural talent for music and story telling, she was still not dragon blooded and this annoyed Xarzith to no end. However things turned around when Melinda had suddenly showed signs of spontaneous magic when she began singing, in his eyes there was hope that she could become more like his own child. He began teaching her about dragon disciples and that by becoming his, she could end up becoming more like a dragon just like him. It wouldn't be the same as being a dragon but it was the closest she would ever come to it, the idea made them both really happy as both Melinda and Xarzith wished that she was more like a dragon.
They created a blood bond between them as needed for her to become his disciple, it was but the first step to their dream. The second step was to send her out into the world to gather more stories and songs for him to listen to, but she was captured by some bandits on the way to the nearest village and smuggled from place to place until she ended up on Thain as a slave to a bunch of weak kobolds. By this point Melinda was completely disheartened and accepted her role as a slave until she was rescued by a half-orc by the name of Vrok.
The two of them began a relationship and have been together ever since, they left Thain because Melinda wanted to explore more and continue gathering stories and songs as her "father" had wanted.
